Farhad Islam

Farhad Islam joined Gepp Solicitors in 2021 and is a Partner and in the family department.

Farhad qualified in 2012 and specialises in family matters, he has built up a wealth of experience in all areas of family law.

He has been supervisor at a reputable family firm over the last three years, joining Gepp Solicitors in January 2021. Farhad deals with divorce and financial remedy matters that follow on from this. He has experience in the resolution of complex financial issues that may arise upon divorce and separation, including emergency applications for freezing injunctions and to set aside dispositions.

He also deals with all aspects of family law relating to children, including contact / residence disputes, adoption and Special guardianship orders. In addition, Farhad also has experience assisting victims of domestic violence, in applications for non-molestation and/or occupation orders.

Specialisms

Farhad’s experience is varied, however he is able to deal with issues following the breakdown of a relationship. If there are children involved, he can deal with this aspect to allow all matters to be dealt with smoothly and by one lawyer, which is normally more cost-effective for the client.

Farhad further specialises in cohabitation disputes and pre-nuptial agreements which are becoming invaluable in the legal system.

He has a particular experience in children matters, being recognised as a Children Panel member for his continued experience in this field.
