Company and Commercial
Alex advises organisations of all sizes, from family businesses to large corporates on understanding corporate and commercial legal issues. She deal with mergers, demergers, acquisitions and disposals as well as management buy-outs/ins.
Alex also helps businesses to regulate its structure with partnership, LLP or shareholder agreements and negotiates and implements a range of commercial contracts including NDAs, joint venture agreements, supplier contracts and franchise agreements. She regularly provides businesses with advice and assistance in relation to brand and data protection.
Employment
Alex’s experience includes working with companies, not-for-profit organisations, partnerships, LLPs and sole traders. Her work includes, dealing with TUPE, whistleblowing, redundancy, disciplinary, grievance and discrimination issues. She advises on protecting the business and restrictive covenants. She handles all types of employment litigation including race, sex and disability discrimination claims and High Court action for injunctive relief and damages.
When acting for employees, Alex’s specialism is acting for directors and senior executives, advising on the terms of their appointment and departure and in particular advising them on workplace investigations.
Given her overlap in specialism’s, Alex is well placed to advise on director/shareholder disputes and is often involved in finding a solution which may include disposing or acquiring shares, of which she can see the process through to completion.
In addition, Alex advises military personnel of all ranks on employment-related issues.
