There can be lots of reasons why a Lease may need to be varied during its lifetime, such as amending the rent or changing the permitted use of the property.

As with all legal documents, if the variation is not done properly it will not be effective.

At Gepp Solicitors we have a wealth of experience to help you negotiate and agree variations to a lease, which can then be formally recorded in a Deed of Variation. If the property is charged, we can also touch base with the Lender and ensure that their requirements are met.

Beware – variation to the length of a Lease or the extent of the premises can amount to a surrender and re-grant which we can help you navigate.
