We received the sad news that our beloved Rita Firminger passed away on the 14th August 2024.
Rita joined the firm on the 5th June 1989 and was with us for over 35 years. She meant a great deal to everyone who has worked at Gepp during that time and she was incredibly loyal and dedicated to the firm and all those she worked with and we cannot thank her enough for her time with us.
Rita joined the firm as a receptionist and enjoyed being ‘front of house’. Rita took on the task of looking after the firm’s archives of deeds and files and was meticulous and dedicated to ensuring that these were correct and in order. As well as working on reception and dealing with the archives, Rita helped to organise the Christmas raffle each year for charity. If you ever wanted to buy just the one ticket, you always ended up with a strip!
Rita was the ‘work mum’ and ‘work nan’ that everyone gravitated to and she would happily give her time to anyone. Not only was Rita a great listener, but she also had a wonderful sense of humour, but the most important thing about Rita, was that she was a friend.
There is a lot more that can be said about Rita and all the things that she did at the firm during her time, and we are sure that everyone who knew her will have their own special memories of her. She will be (and is) greatly missed and our thoughts are with her family and friends.
