The Icing On The Cake…

A huge thank you to Chelmsford College students and Catering Manager Hilary.

Hilary and her wonderful team of students worked tirelessly baking cakes and scones for the Essex Agricultural Societies afternoon tea.

All funds from the event go to help fund the Essex Food and Farming Day, an annual event where around 3,000 children from primary schools from across Essex get to see first-hand where their food comes from. It is a yearly event organised by the EAS, giving 3,000 Essex school children aged eight to 11 the opportunity to visit Writtle University College to see the role played by farmers in Essex and the many related jobs within the industry.
