Over the last three years this event has raised just under £150,000 for PARC a wonderful Braintree based children’s charity. PARC (Play and Resource Centre) provides a safe environment for disabled children in which to play. Over 480 Essex families benefit from the care and services provided by PARC.
This annual event is held in the grounds of ‘CRIX’, a privately owns Georgian house accessed directly off the A12 at Hatfield Peverel. Last year’s Essex Dog Day (EDD) was attended by almost 9,000 dog loving visitors and raised just under £59,000. With the help of the generous, general public the fundraising committee aim to top last year’s gate and smash the net takings.
Danny Carter, Private Client Partner and Spencer Davis, Marketing Director both from Gepp and Sons are on the organising committee and have worked for the last year to help maintain and build on the events success.
As part of their commitment to supporting local charities Gepp and Sons have agreed to sponsor ‘Best in Show’ for the fourth year. “Supporting local charities has always been important to our firm throughout its 250 years of history”, said Spencer. “There is nothing better than getting personally involved, giving your time for a worthwhile cause”.
This year the EDD will be supporting many worthy Essex charities with the assistance of the Essex Community Foundation, ensuring ALL proceeds go to making a difference to those in need.
So if you are free this Sunday pop along to Hatfield Peverel, you will see the signs.
