Sabina specialises in criminal defence and regularly represents clients from pre-charge investigation through to the conclusion of a criminal trial. Her experience ranges from minor cases such as criminal damage through to charges of rape and murder.

Sabina has a particular focus on representing young people and clients with mental health vulnerabilities. She understands the additional challenges these individuals face within the justice system and adopts a patient, supportive and non-judgemental approach throughout.

Reported cases

  • R v E – Youth defendant charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. Made representations to the Crown regarding the client’s personal circumstances, particularly highlighting his diagnosis of autism and ADHD. The Crown dropped the case against the client following these representations.
  • R v L – Defendant charged with assault on an emergency worker and possession of a weapon. Enabled client to avoid custody, despite having been charged with possession of a weapon previously.
  • R v L – Represented a client through Crown Court proceedings for a charge of burglary, stalking and threatening a person with a weapon. Due to the extensive time it took for the case to go to trial, the CPS offered no evidence and the case was dismissed.
  • R v K – Worked on a case against a youth charged with possessing indecent images. A computer expert concluded that the material was not accessed by the defendant, having been downloaded automatically via a social media website. The case was dismissed.
