Millie Cook joined Gepp Solicitors in September 2023 and is a Paralegal in the Criminal team.
Millie completed her A-Levels in 2023, where she studied Law and Psychology. She finished her Police Station Accreditation in April 2025, meaning she is fully qualified to represent clients with all kinds of matters at the police station from common assault to murder.
Millie’s role in the criminal team consists of assisting with the organisation of cases, meeting with clients, drafting documents and attending the police station.
Millie takes an understanding and empathetic approach with clients, always aiming to provide not just assistance and support, but also to ease the pressure and stress that often accompany criminal allegations. She strives to be friendly and approachable, while consistently delivering a high standard of client care.
Motivated by both a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in the legal system, she is always eager to grow her knowledge and contribute where possible to support the rest of the team.
The suspect was arrested and detained for serious criminal allegations namely money laundering, human trafficking and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. The Police Disclosure indicated a drug line was operating, with the telecommunications and data analysis implicating the suspect’s involvement in the sale/ supply of drugs. The suspect secured legal representation from Gepp Solicitors and our accredited Police Station Representative Millie Cook attended the police station.
The client was fully advised of the procedure and the disclosure. The strengths and weakness of the case were highlighted. Our client’s instructions were obtained and advice was given on all the options available. Having accepted the advice to advance a prepared statement outlining the defence of duress, the police took no further action.
The suspect was interviewed in relation to an allegation of committing a sexual act in public. Following the interview oral representations were made by Millie Cook. The police were persuaded that the circumstances of this case were suitable for a Non-Court Disposal by issuing a conditional caution to conclude the matter.
Our client was interviewed for domestic violence allegations including allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour, actual bodily harm (ABH) and common assault. It was alleged that our client behaved in an abusive, violent and controlling manner towards his pregnant partner. Millie’s advice ultimately led to the police taking no further action.
The suspect was accused of having a verbal argument in a supermarket. During this argument the suspect was alleged to have made threats to kill. The suspect was interviewed in relation to the above allegations. Following the interview, Millie made representations referring to the suspect’s good character, this being an isolated incident. The police accepted the representations and proceeded to offer a community resolution as a non-Court Disposal.
