As Head of the Agricultural & Rural Land / Commercial Property team, Keri has considerable expertise and experience dealing with all aspects of ‘land law’, commercial property and rural / agricultural matters.
Keri joined Gepp Solicitors in 2007 after completing her law degree at De Montfort University and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2013 after training with the firm. Keri became a Partner in 2019 and then Head of Department in 2023.
Keri works with a common-sense approach in order to provide a high-quality service for her clients, particularly in relation to complex rural and commercial transactions. Keri’s clients value her approachability and responsiveness.
Keri advises on a wide range of rural issues including the development of farmland and reserving development value, tenancy succession, footpaths and public access issues.
Keri specialises in advising rural landowners on legal agreements relating to the promotion and sale of strategic development land. She also advises clients on a wide variety of complex issues including easements, development of farmland through promotion and option agreements, reserving the benefit of development value via overage agreements as well as refinancing farms and land and all matters relating to freehold and leasehold property work including farm business tenancies.
Keri is particularly interested in biodiversity net gain schemes and other green diversification opportunities such as the use of land for solar, wind and battery storage. Keri works closely with the firm’s specialist tax team as well as the firm’s regulatory team.
