Jemma Bennett is a Senior Paralegal in our Dispute Resolution team, specialising in civil litigation and landlord and tenant disputes.
Jemma manages her own varied caseload and works closely with the Head of Dispute Resolution on a wide range of contentious matters. She has extensive experience supporting clients throughout the litigation process, from initial advice and pre-action correspondence through to court proceedings and trial.
Alongside her civil litigation practice, Jemma also has experience in employment disputes and Employment Tribunal proceedings.
Jemma joined Gepp Solicitors in 2007 after completing her Pitman Legal Secretarial qualification with Merit, beginning her career as a Legal Assistant in the firm’s Civil Litigation team.
After five years with Gepp Solicitors, Jemma spent two years working in London, where she gained valuable experience within the commercial law sector, before returning to the firm.
Jemma subsequently completed her CILEx paralegal training, achieving a Distinction at Level 3 in Employment Law. She also holds a Certificate in Law and Practice in Civil Litigation, achieving distinctions across three modules.
Now a Senior Paralegal, Jemma has developed a broad range of litigation experience, with a particular focus on landlord and tenant matters.

Jemma is involved throughout the life of a case and works closely with clients to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and they understand what is happening at each stage.
Jemma has particular experience in landlord and tenant disputes and manages a varied caseload in this area. She assists clients at all stages of a dispute, from initial advice and pre-action correspondence through to court proceedings and trial where necessary.
Jemma has broad experience in civil litigation, assisting clients with a range of contentious matters. Her work includes drafting proceedings and witness statements, preparing evidence and trial bundles, liaising with experts and barristers, and supporting cases through the County Court.
She works closely with the Head of Dispute Resolution on more complex matters as well as managing her own caseload.
Jemma assists with a range of commercial disputes, supporting clients from the early stages of a matter through to court proceedings where required.
She works closely with clients and the wider Dispute Resolution team to ensure cases are thoroughly prepared and progressed efficiently, with a focus on achieving practical and commercially sensible outcomes.
Jemma has extensive experience in employment litigation and Employment Tribunal proceedings, having previously worked within Gepp Solicitors’ Employment team.
Her experience includes preparing claims for Tribunal, drafting documents and witness statements, preparing hearing bundles and liaising with clients and barristers throughout proceedings.
Jemma is known for her calm, methodical and approachable manner. She is experienced in managing complex matters and competing deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.
She understands that disputes can be stressful and disruptive, whether they concern a property, business or employment issue. Jemma focuses on providing clear and practical support, keeping clients informed and helping them navigate the litigation process with confidence.
Her aim is always to understand what the client wants to achieve and to work towards the best possible outcome in a practical and proportionate way.
